I turned 41 in the middle of it all
I'll have most of my grades by Monday. I won't jinx myself by saying what I think I got, but it was never a given that I would even PASS Calculus I since it turned out that I had forgotten soooooooooo much more than I had suspected. I really struggled in this class.
Linear Algebra (matrices) was interesting, but it's own weird little sub-math world. I'm taking the 400-level version in the fall (read, in ten days. I get one week off and then the fall semester starts).
The graduate level classes, American curriculum and ed psych, were redeemed by what I had thought would be their worst feature--the online discussion groups. I actually learned more from the discussions than from the reading.
Of the two classes, I vastly preferred the Ed Psych class, but my final project for the curriculum class held the most interest, so I came out even there.
I suspect my undergraduate-level math courses will be lower than I like, but that the graduate-level education classes will save my GPA skin, and I'll come out okay. Not great, not good, but okay.
I'm taking 14 units in the fall. 10 graduate units and 4 undergrad units.
And I'll still be working part-time at the law office. Dh's new job takes him out of the country once or twice a month. It's going to be a doozy of a year as we try to stay on top of the 2nd-grade wonder twins (given the opportunity, they'll cheerfully skate through school, but their teacher and I would like to see their brilliant little brains get an actual workout). My 8th grader is switching schools from a small charter school to one of the big middle schools. My goal with him is to help him keep his head on straight and get all his homework done. He's way ahead in Spanish, so they'll be busing him to the high school for Spanish.
One more update Monday or Tuesday after the final grades are posted. This semester was soooooooooo stressful. I will NEVER EVER Take a full load during summer semester again. I just need the occasional three-day weekend to get caught up on stuff!! Live and learn.
