Update on Me

This summer was supposed to be my first semester of grad school/secondary math credential work. I was going to take one math class just to get up and running.

That didn't work out. Long story short--if you're accepted as a graduate student then the government says you have to have at least 5 units of graduate coursework in any given semester to get your loans.

So now I have 13 units of classes this summer. Two education-related graduate classes and two credential-related undergrad math classes.

I'm probably going to have to quit my second job, but I'm waiting until it definitely gets to that point to do it.

So far, only the EdPsych class has started. The match classes start June 15 and the curriculum & instruction course not till June 24. Since I already have a degree in elementary education and taught 4th grade and then wrote curriculum for 10 years, I'm not worried about the graduate classes except to the extent that they are a distraction from the math classes (where I am much rustier).

No bowing!

a. I haven't actually pulled it off yet

and

b. I have a supportive husband who does laundry, and sometimes, dishes. He does not cook--but claims he is willing to give it a shot over the next few years. He's made big changes for me in the past, so I know he is capable of doing it again.
