I thought I'd start a thread so we could post what we are studying.
This is my first semester back in school after "taking a semester off" 11 years ago I decided abruptly the Friday before classes started that I was going to enroll. I'm taking 10 credits this semester. Two of my classes are online (Keyboarding/Document Formatting and Basic Nutrition) and I have one lecture/lab (Human Anatomy & Physiology I). I was fortunate to have a bunch of credits transfer from way back when.
I will apply for the Nursing Program this spring. If all goes well, I will start the 2 year Associate Degree Nursing program next fall.
I'm also working 28 hours a week at McDonald's, though maybe not for much longer (too much drama for not enough money). I'm thinking that I'll try for a waitressing job (more money, fewer hours). We'll see how it goes.
Heck, I'm still waiting for my financial aide. Maybe I won't need to work
Can I ask if you guys were envisioning 'real college' students or anyone studying? I'm working on my distance learning Doula studies, but my feelings won't be hurt either way!

Anyhow, I am back in school after an almost 4 year break. I have been an on again, off again student for almost 13 years. It really is getting ridiculous. I was almost finished with my Bach of Bus Admin degree, but then we moved for dh's job. So, I just trasferred to Marshall where I am doing a Regents bachelor's degree. This degree is a self designed degree, lol so basically, I am getting a general bachelor's degree although of course, it is easy to see my main area of study was/is business. I need 24 instate credits for residency to graduate of anything I want since I have all the other requirements met. I am taking all online classes. I figured this was the ONLY way to ensure that I would graduate since we may move again after the first of the year.
I am sooooooooooooooooooo excited! This has been such a long road, so much hard work, it feels good to see an end and to be able to say "I am graduating on May 9th, 2009" instead of "hopefully" lol which I have said so many other times.
I think I am on the 25 year bachelors degree program!

I tried going back right after my last child was born, but could not do it.
Now, two years later and I am taking four classes this semester.
A math class at the college, and three online classes- a humanities, political science, and a pyschology through a local community college.
So far so good, but I am finding I am not a fan of online classes.
I'm going back in the spring (assuming they accept my application for reenrollment ). Right now, I'm reviewing Calc 1-4 and linear algebra so I won't be completely floundering as I try to finish my math degree next year.
Unless, of course, I can come up with a plan I like better.

I started back in January 06 after leaving school my junior year in 1992. I am working on my BS...in organizational leadership and plan to go to law school after I graduate in May 2010. I take my lsat in February , so I will know then if I need to change plans
I take 2 classes each fall and 3 each spring. I have just started working this fall 30 hours per week, so it is taking some juggling to get things handled properly.
This fall I am taking a women's studies/sociology class "gender and occupations" and a labor/employment relations class "compensation", both are senior level and 2 weeks in are kicking my butt!!!
I start on Monday. I'll be taking 13 credit hours this quarter and going on campus. I went until fall 06 and had Atticus and haven't really felt like returning until now. I'm taking intermediate alg, sociology, and western civ 1300-18??.
I'm getting my assoc in liberal arts and then I plan to complete a bachelors degree in either women's studies or political science. I have no idea of what sort of work I'd like to do after school. I want to do non profit work for awhile while the kids are young. I really want to be a lawyer but I'm not sure about it. I'm in my info gathering stage.
I am taking sociology, an intro to autism course that falls under education and is turning out to be very interesting, this is actually a 400 level course, criminal justice and an upper level international marketing.
I also working on a long term degree. 14 year bachelors! I've picked away at my degree for all these years but this time I am FINISHING! I'm a distance student at Indiana State and really I think this is what is going to make finally finishing possible. Minimal scheduling juggles since I only have to attend clinicals, plus I'm not working, and the kids aren't homeschooling anymore. I'll be finished December 09.
This semester I'm taking: Nursing Care of Families in Stress and Crisis, Nursing Care of Adults II, and a 2 credit hour fitness class. I'm finishing up my last 3 testouts too (like CLEP but it's 2 Dantes and 1 Excelsior).

I want to get my degree in Classics with Latin. It needs to be distance ed because I live in a small town in Alaska and don't see that changing any time soon. I'm having the hardest time finding any distance ed that deals with Latin or classics! Let alone enough to get my degree.
BYU has a few of its (required for a Classics degree with Latin) classes as distance ed, and I love that with them you have a final finish date but no in between dates of when assignments are due, and their prices seem to be good, but I couldn't actually get my degree with them as they have way too many required credits in religion. I wouldn't have minded a class or two, I like learning about other religions, but they require much more than a class or two.
So I'm still in the stage of trying to figure out if there is any way I can get this degree through distance ed. In the meantime I'm continuing my self study of Latin.

I'm doing a complete turn-around. I finished my BS in 2001 in history/secondary education and English lit but have done really nothing with my degree. So, I'm in massage school right now. I'll finish up the end of January. The plan is then to start at Utah College of Midwifery the following fall. While I'm working on my Master's there I'll be doing my doula certification.
I'm working on my Associates in Teaching with the intention of moving on to a 4-year special ed program. I have tons of hours and have spent considerable amounts of time trying to figure out where to go but finally have it nailed down. I'm still at community college but will probably transfer for Spring semester to the university.
This semester I'm in Elem Algebra (cakewalk, lol, but my last math classes were 10 years ago so I opted to just retake them instead of testing out) and online I have Cornerstone (sort of like intro to college level thinking, a bit late for me but whatever).
