I am a sometime student (taking classes for professional development) and actually am taking one class this semester in

Adult Supervision

Went to my first class and it looks really good.

I went to college and graduated when I was younger but I am a believer in lifelong learning so it works for me to need to take classes and to do something good for myself while doing so.

Oh, wow! I just discovered this forum - I'm a little slow I guess. This is my first semester in my program - I am getting a teaching certificate/MAT. The program is such that for a few extra classes past getting the certificate I can get my masters. My certification will be in Art, K - 12. (My bachelor's is in art, so all I need are the education classes.)
I've taken classes here and there, but its been quite a break from when I got my BA in '96.
I'm just taking one online class right now. Started next semester I will take 2 at a time until student teaching. Should take me about 2 1/2 to 3 years.

I'll have to come back and read others responses and others threads when I'm not running out the door.

working on my bachelors for a social work degree. I'm highly motivated and love being in school. Such a difference a few years makes. I went back last January and so far so good.

I am working towards a ba in theology...slowly but surely. I can only afford (financially and time wise) two classes a semester, so this is going to take a long while. This semester I am taking a philosophy and theology on-line.

I'm here! I started back to school this fall, working toward a bachelor's in Health, Sport, and Exercise Science w/double majors in Sport Science and Community Health.

I'm loving my classes so far, except my business course. I am actually dropping it - it's not required, I had thought I would get my minor in business but as it turns out I'd rather jab my eyes out lol.

former student/mom!!!

well, technically im not a student anymore!! i graduated in June with my B.A. in communications with an emphasis in public relations, but i still remember the constant struggle it was to balance both my family and my school work. I consider myself pretty lucky though, i had both my kids during breaks and never had to take any time off from school! My daughter was born three years ago, one week before school started..and my son was born last december (during Winter break) it worked out great because they were the best babies and let me do my work while they slept peacefully through the night! I actaully liked it alot too, i had alot of time on my hands to spend with them and although school did require much of my time....i was able to focus on it during my own time!!! My advice to all you other moms....stick with it!!!it is a very self gratifying accomplishment when you finish!!!

I just stumbled upon this thread.
As the semester winds down I am still a student so I reply.

I feel like a forever student.
I have an AS degree from 1984, A Spin at Pitt for a year 87-88. 1995 when my oldest went to kindy I went back to school to work on an AS in ART, not so much for a job but for me.
Since, life has given me several really hard spins I was not prepared for inclusive of loosing my dh and almost my life to an organ loss in the last 5 years. I took the plunge this fall an went back to school when I lost my contract of 15 years.

So, I am finishing my maybe last 15 credits a small chunk at a time on my Associates in Art probably working towards my BS in Fine Art.

and if there is anyone out there reading this I have an interview on Monday for a job as assistant to a local to me nationally known Iconographer (scroll to very bottom of his page) Orthodox Iconographer Nick Papas . I think I might really like to have this position and would welcome some positive job vibes.

Hi everyone! I'm new here.

I'm a 40 yr old wife and mother of two. I homeschool. College is a big deal for me since I started back in my early 20's but rarely finished a course and would drop out usually so I finally gave up back then. I've always been real good about quitting things I start. After getting married and having two children I've definitely changed in that area.

I started back to college in the fall of 2007, so I'm a second year college student (wow, whodathunkit). I'm majoring in Business Administration. I just finished up fall semester and can't wait to get back at it in January (although I'm enjoying the break!).
