I am asking respectfully that no one email me in private, unless it is for business purposes. If something is too hurtful to say in a post, it is too hurtful to mail me. If I recieve any of the hate mail that people feel is their right to send I am going to feel free to post it and make it publicly known. This is not directed at anyone in particular, but if someone compares me to hitler, or emails me about my sig, they have gone too far.

Wow, Eileen! Sounds like you've been through the ringer. I agree that if something is too hurtful to be said in a public forum that it should not be said in an e-mail. I hope your wishes on this issue are respected.

I think many of us have been through the ringer with emails=(.
There are many women on this board that do not agree with my religious choices, but some of the most vocal christians have turned out to be also very considerate. I say christians because I am impressed with how some christians on this board(who are very spiritual mamas, and have deeply held beliefs) can disagree with me, and yet they do not judge or condemn. And yet, there are a few mamas that feel it is their right to send flames via email(no particular faith, just a particular mindset)!
I just feel that sending flames in private is just as bad, if not worse, than posting them.

I'm sorry Aileen. I think it is just awful that people can be mean to people--really, just awful. I mean, hey--I'll say it, you and I are probably at completely different ends of the spectrum as far as what we believe. But I love reading your posts and I have learned a lot from you.

BTW, if you want to make the url in your signature line clickable, add "url" (no quotes) with brackets around it before the url and then "/url" (again, no quotes) after it with brackets and no spaces.

that is not acceptable for this board. this whole site is for learning and teaching and listening- not chastising. if you don't agree with someone or who they are, make a personal note of that to yourself- please dont feel the need to let them know unless it is in a respectful way...

Aileen, I think that's horrid! That people would email mean and hurtful things to you or anyone else. Frankly I'm surprised. I guess I just assumed we were all a little more mature and tolerant than that. I
