spiritual discussionsThis is the place at AW for mamas to learn about all different religions and beliefs, to ask questions, to give answers- all done with respect! if you don't have anything nice to say here- don't say anything at all.
So, last night I was deep in thought, mulling over what has happened in my life over the course of the last two months. I still find it so amazing that someone who was so very against the mere idea of God and the Bible being true can do a 180 and find comfort in Faith that it *is* all true. I was mulling over how some friends of ours had sort of gossiped about how they think I have just followed along blindly behind Jay to make peace in our relationship, but they aren't taking into account that I have a brain and make decisions based on things as they are presented to me. If they took the time to flat out ask me about my path, I'd be happy to tell them how I feel God has given me several very clear signs that He is with me. My mind went back and visited the times I have heard His voice ring out within me, including the first time I consciously remember it happening and how the message was sos stong and clear it was if pure energy was zipping through my veins as the words, "I will never let you fall." jolted me.
So, as I sat there, I decided I wanted to look through the God's Words of Life book that a woman from our church had given me. The first thing I read was this:
Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall.
Psalm 55:22

I have been sparse as of late...dealing with my aunt and her care....mostly if I have time I just read and don't take the time to post.
But I just wanted to let you know that I have been reading...and that I am so happy for you and Jay and your girlies...I am constantly in awe at watching God work...He truly is an awesome God.
That is so awesome Michelle. I know that there are going to be hard times in our lives - we've definitely had our share here - but God will never leave us or forsake us. He is there in the storm and in the sun - bad AND good. He will sustain us through whatever comes our way.

Yeah, I know that it doesn't mean we won't stumble or have our hard times, but feel that we'll have our needs met and be taken care of even in hard times.
Again, today, another affirmation that God is there listening. We were making the 45 minute drive to get Nico and all day Kaya has complained pf her tummy hurting. As we were driving, it got really bad and she started whimpering and crying because of the pain. I said a silent prayer asking for God to reach down with His healing hands and help take some of the pain away from my sweet girl. By the time I was done praying I noticed that she had quieted down. All of a sudden she pipes up with, "Thank God!!!" and I ask her what? She says to me, "I felt God take some of the hurt away." She had no clue I was praying for just that.
