Anyone attend a Nazarene church?
We've been going (as a family!!) for about a month. It is in a neighboring town. (the same town I teach in)
I did not know it was a actual denomination at first...I thought the name was just the name of this particular church....but then I find that Nazarene is a denomination. I'd like to talk to someone who has been in this denomination for some time and really knows it and what is different about it from other Christian denominations.
We love it. The first time I've been to a congregation where I really do see Jesus reflected in the members and how they act, treat others....and it is genuine, not fake just to get more members etc.....
We have not joined officially or anything but are getting more involved. It started with going to Sunday service. Now we do that and go back Sunday night for youth group (for our teens) and an adult group for dh and I. My dh still does not believe in Christ......but he is attending. We are going to add Sunday School this Sunday. (it is before the actual church service) The church is "Sunnyside Church of the Nazarene".
