Confessions of a Pagan Nun is an engaging book that straddles both sides of the primary character Gwynneve's pagan upbringing and current role as a nun transcribing sacred works.

I enjoy books that neither vilify nor exhalt the opposing sides of the Divine and the ways in which we reach it. While there are definite themes of redemption, being saved etc and contempt by both sides - overall the author holds a fairly even hand with the differences. Gwynneve is torn between the two herself, though she acknowledges the good and bad in both and struggles between what is "right" from both perspectives.

Would love to hear your thoughts if you've read it, or when you do!

That's on my to read list. I have about 100 books by my bed that I have to read before being allowed to buy any new book and so it's going to be a while, but I really want to read that.

Maybe as soon as I finish checking up on the board, I'll go read.

Have you ever read Christians and Pagans? That was a great book and the author even emailed me back and forth for awhile as I was really trying to understand things going on around me. Gus DiZerega is the author. It is a good read

Not sure if I'd be interested in that one or not. Will have to thumb through it at a bookstore sometime and see.
