reoccuring lion dreams

I keep having dreams about lions. They aren't dreams where lions are chasing me but they are just there, non threatening. Then, last night I dreamed that I was in a hotel room or dorm and a room on my floor had police and forensics there. Aparently someone put a dead lion in another person's room, they were carrying it out in a body bag and this scene replayed itself twice in the dream.
I googled lion dreams but nothing much comes up or contradictory information.
Anyone good with dream interpretation? what's going on here?
Maybe I need to keep a dream journal to figure this out.

Lion

To dream of a lion, signifies that a great force is driving you.

If you subdue the lion, you will be victorious in any engagement.

If it overpowers you, then you will be open to the successful attacks of enemies.

To see caged lions, denotes that your success depends upon your ability to cope with opposition.

To see a man controlling a lion in its cage, or out denotes success in business and great mental power. You will be favorably regarded by women.

To see young lions, denotes new enterprises, which will bring success if properly attended.

For a young woman to dream of young lions, denotes new and fascinating lovers.

For a woman to dream that she sees Daniel in the lions' den, signifies that by her intellectual qualifications and personal magnetism she will win fortune and lovers to her highest desire.

To hear the roar of a lion, signifies unexpected advancement and preferment with women.

To see a lion's head over you, showing his teeth by snarls, you are threatened with defeat in your upward rise to power.

To see a lion's skin, denotes a rise to fortune and happiness.

To ride one, denotes courage and persistency in surmounting difficulties.

To dream you are defending your children from a lion with a pen-knife, foretells enemies will threaten to overpower you, and will well nigh succeed if you allow any artfulness to persuade you for a moment from duty and business obligations.

i prescribe to the theory that no book can tell you what the symbols mean for you much like the author of this book

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/156...Fencoding=UTF8

the trick is people are sooooo different why would their dreams be the same

for example, I have a lion who is a spirit guide for me so caging it or it passing away or me even overcoming it would be devistating

look into yourself and decide what the symbols mean to you

Yeah...I'd googled it and came up with a few different things.
I understand what you are saying the symbolism is probably different for me
than for someone else so how would a dream expert know what is going on with me? [rhetorical question]

This may sound silly but if you have access to a zoo or some animal place where you can see a real live lion....maybe you'll get more information if you do that?

Maybe I need to keep a dream journal to figure this out.

This is sometimes not a popular opinion, but here it goes anyway.

No one, no book, no website, NO ONE outside of *YOU* can interpret your dreams for you. They can make suggestions, maybe spark ideas or thoughts for you, but they cannot interpret it for you.

Why? Because dreams are our own personal inner landscape. What a lion manes to me, and what a lion means to you or anyone else can be completely different things, sometimes even opposite. I don't know you, I don't know all of your symbology, experiences, beliefs.... only you know all of that.

The best thing to do is keep a journal. Right down some notes about what is going on in your waking life at the time of the dreams, and then as much details about the dreams as you can. Look for patterns. Look for emotions, smells, colors, sounds. Look for reoccuring people, etc. in these dreams.

You hold the key to your own interpretation -- no one else does.

Good luck!
