A friend gave me the Book Of Mormon to read. Any particular scripture that I should look up? Which passages comfort you, inspires you?

Oh my where to begin: Moroni 10:4-7, 3rd Nephi 11 (the whole thing), and 2nd Nephi Ch. 31. I love the whole thing but those are ones that stand out to me b/c they are so powerful and touching to me. HTH

Amy I have to look mine up ok? I don't remember the reference, but it's in one of the Nephi's when Nephi is quoting Isaiah, so I believe it's a scripture from the bible too.

Let me look for a minute.

Ok here it is... 1 Nephi 2:16 - "Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me."

It's also found in Isaiah 49:16 in the KJV of the bible.

I can't help but think Christ knows ME personally every time I read that.

Just a few.

1 Nephi 1:7 I will go and do what the Lord commands...

2 Nephi 2:11 For it must needs be, that there is an opposition in all things...

2 Nephi 2:25 Adam fell that men might be; and men are, that they might have joy.

2 Nephi 31: 20 Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ...

Mosiah 24:14-15 And I will also ease the burdens which are put upon your shoulders...

3 Nephi 13:12 & 21 Lead us not into temptation...where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Ether 12:27 And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness...

Moroni 8:3 I am mindful of you always in my prayers...

Alma 26 6:12 Yea, I know that I am nothing...

When I study a scripture, I mark it in my scriptures along with notations in the margins and then whenever I pass it again I am reminded of what I have learned.
