Need Help with a first moon party for my daughter

I want to give my daughter a party when she has her first period.. I would like to invite her close friend and the adult women that are a special part of her life.. Can someone help me come up with invitations and a generic blessing I can do that will not upset anyone attending..
What gifts could I give her?
Any suggestions would be sooooo wonderful.

This is my first chance to reply, though I see this often.

So I had what felt like the perfect celebration for my daughter about 3 weeks after her first cycle. (the day she got her cycle, she called her then stepfather (he has since adopted her) and told him the exciting news,,her idea. he sent flowers to her at school)

I invited special women in her life, 3 of her grandmothers, my best friend since I was 12, our youth pastors wife (another dear friend), my young niece who was 5 at the time. The wide spectrum of beliefs (from my Jewish step-mother in law to my Pagan mother in law, and the Evangelical Christian pastors wife) made it incredibly beautiful and amazing.

I planned a dinner, I cleared most of the extra furniture from our small livingroom, put an antique table in the middle with my best dishes, white tablecloth, lots of flowers and candles around the room. My daughter wore all white and had a crown of flowers on her head.

I had asked each guest to bring a special dish to share, a few beads that felt significant to them, and a poem/song/ scripture or story that would reflect one of the attributes of a Godly woman.

I had bought what we needed to make a lovely necklace of our beads, and we each strung them on the string. Then we went around the table and each woman shared what wisdom she brought to share with my daughter,,why it meant something to them, and each were put in a special book that Rebecca has,,starting a scrapbook.

We laughed and cried, shared stories of being a woman, period wisdom and experiences. It was a truly precious evening,,every person left feeling so blessed to have been a part of it, and it was a fabulous way to welcome my daughter into womanhood.

I know my young niece is already talking about what she wants her special celebration to be like...
