I hope this doesn't sound crazy... Has anyone else ever *received a message*??

There have been a handful of times in my life when I have had a strange experience. I have heard a voice within me, but stronger than my own thoughts. These voices have said one or two powerful sentences that I have felt resonate though my own body. The voice is neither male nor female, but it comes with an overall sense of peace, comfort and truth.

At each time, the voice has come at a time when I was having some sort of conflict and needed reassurance.

In December, J had the same sort of experience one day while driving. He heard an internal voice, not just a thought, that gave him some wisdom that helped him move forward in a certain situation.

While I do not follow the Bible, I do believe in a Divine Spirit as well as Spirit Guides (or angels). I really feel as if these instances were messages from the Divine.

Has anyone else (of any faith)had any experiences like this?

Yes, without a doubt.

(Pst, Meeshi, it's Divine, not Devine. )

I haven't personally, but in my faith (Catholicism) it is not uncommon at all. IMO, it was probably God giving you a little comfort or a little nudge.

Oh sure! Some of those times have been life saving. I do believe that the Creator of mankind does speak to our spirits.

Yes.

DS's paternal grandfather called me a couple of months ago, telling me that DS's biofather had lung cancer. Only a few weeks later he called again to tell me two more pieces of news....... biofather's cancer was terminal, and that he (grandfather) had also been diagnosed with lung cancer.

After digesting this news for a couple of news, I started having a "knowledge" that I needed to ask people to pray for them and ask for healing thoughts. Not a mass email, "ask everyone you know" kind of thing.......it was very specific. It's very, very hard to articulate the feeling. Almost like it had happened before, and I needed to remember who I had asked for prayers before. I couldn't sleep, couldn't rest, couldn't focus on anything but this compulsion, and it went on for days (yes, sometimes I'm kind of slow on the uptake...LOL). I finally wrote an email to a few people (including my half-sister, with whom I have NO relationship, but it was like she was one of the ones I had to ask, kwim?) asking very specifically for prayers and good thoughts, and that I didn't know if they were to pray for biofather and grandfather's healing, or what, but that I had to ask for their prayers. I also asked that they send the email to select people, IF they felt so compelled. After following up on this, I was able to rest again.

It was such an odd....feeling (not the right word, but the closest I can come). And whether I'm right or wrong, I *know* that DS's grandfather is going to be okay. He just is. As far as DS's biofather.....I have no "feeling" or "knowing" one way or another.

Having said all that to say.....yes, I believe I've been "spoken" to in this instance. I feel puzzled about it, yet peaceful.

happens all the time. I make most big life decisions this way- at least, the right ones! I make wrong decisions when I do NOT pay attention to these messages from the Universe!

I have! The Blessed Theotokos (God Bearer/Mary) spoke to me in a dream once. SHe also visited me when my son was being born. I was meditating through my labor and she appeared. God speaks to me all of the time in the beauty that is around me, in the voices of my friends telling me things I need to hear, etc. There are signs all over the place, all we have to do is see them.

I have definitely received messages. The ones I remember most have involved some sort of danger. When I was about 5, my mom and I were out with my grandma and 12yr old aunt. We had to go to the city for my mom's doctor appts and went to a park in between. My mom was sitting in the back of the truck reading, my grandma was sitting on a picnic table watching my me and my aunt on the swings. We were there for a few minutes and then suddenly my aunt and I both stopped swinging at the same time, looked at each other and without saying a word ran to the truck. By the time we got there, my mom was in the truck and my grandma had put away all of our things and had our door open waiting. We drove away as fast as we could and no one said a word for the longest time. Finally my grandma asked what happened and we realized that all 4 of us got a very strong message of danger at the same time. I still get goosebumps thinking about it. I never ignore these "feelings" because they're always right. I feel it's the Holy Spirit guiding and protecting me.

Definitely, vision at 15 of my DH and daughter at around age 4, place we were living etc, strongly reinforced my life vision. Kaelynn telling me her name while I was weeding the carrot patch as a sign that she was ready to come - prior to conception. Not odd at all, totally natural .

Yes, once.
I was screened (meaning they said no way) for a homebirth with ds due to really high blood pressure, and went into labor the same day. I progressed much more quickly than with my first baby and before I knew it, was ready to push. Dh was panicked, thinking there was no way he could get me to the hospital in time, and MIL was panicked because they were the only two there (we were still at home). Their panic started getting to me, and I was really scared. But something spoke to me, said simply,"It will be all right." And I was flooded with the knowledge that it really would be all right.
