FL mamas?? Are you ready to meet again?? Meeting on the 6th!!
ETA: Based on the poll - more people are able to come the 6th, and it gives me more time to get ready So that's when we'll do it!
PM me if you need directions/my addy. Mapquest actually gives the correct directions if you want to use that.
And please reply if you are coming, so I can have an idea of how many to expect. DH's are welcome also - though I think mine will be off playing paintball that day Also lmk if you need to spend the night, and if so if you'll be cming Fri or Sat.
You can start showing up at 1, and leave whenever Bring a dish to share! I know that we'll have people with dairy, soy, and peanut allergies here, so if you make something with any of that in it, please let us know, and I think it would be better if there wasn't anything with peanuts at all. I'll have some drinks here, but if you or your kids are super picky bring something to drink too.
I think that's it, lmk if you have any other questions/suggestions/whatever!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I just realiezed that "summer" is almost over!! I know a lot of schedules get busy when school starts again in just a couple weeks, so I want to do a get together before August!
I'm thinking the 30th. And as always anyone is welcome to "camp" at my house if they need to spend the night. I really enjoyed having it at the park last time - but I think it may just be too hot to do that again. So I'll say my house like last summer, unless you guys think the park would be ok. LMK what you think!
Also - Lauren (mamabear) is moving - so I kinda want to say "goodbye" to her too. Hopefully nothing will keep her from coming this time!! (sick kids, etc)
So - post here if you want to come - and give your ideas! Potluck was great everytime - so we'll stick to that! I know there is one mama with a ds with severe peanut allergies, so if we can avoid peanuts in our dishes, it will make it easier for them!
The 30th sounds good to me!
As for ideas, my brain is tired. I agree that a potluck sounds good, though...
I could do it the weekend of the 30th, but not the weekend after, we'll be in Atlanta. So it looks like we won't make it. One of these days we'll get to another gathering.
OK - we'll just keep it the weekend of the 30th Besides, I already told Lisa's dh that she has to be here then, lol.
What time is good for everyone? Do you want to do it later or earlier in the day? Chrissy has a putt putt thing to go to (Not sure what time) but if dh can't take her, I'll get her another ride. So anytime (just not TOO early) is ok with me.
If everyone can bring a dish to eat, and a drink that their kids like, that would be awesome.
People that are coming from a distance are welcome to spend Fri and Sat night. I can put all my kids in one bedroom, and the other has bunk beds and a trundle, and then I also have a futon matress in the sewing room, plus the living room has room for a air matress. So Basically I have room for 3 families as long as you don't mind being cramped! lol
