dentist Starting a Swap! ****For the Kitchen Secret Swap****

This swap will have a value of approx. $25.00.

Items must be sent out by July 31st.

Everyone that signs up will be assigned a mama to ship to, and you make items for the kitchen. But DON'T REVEAL who you are, please...that's all part of the fun

Please hand make as many items as you can in your package, we really want to see your handiwork!! However, if you want to include some cleaning gloves or something that you can't really 'make', to round out the swap package, that's okay...but let's try to make as much as possible and not stuff you have lying around and want to get rid of ROFL...

Items could be things like, aprons, pot holders, dish towels, napkins, place mats, bag holders, cleaning cloths, etc...or anything creative you can think of...

Please copy and paste the following into your reply when you sign up, and that info will be passed on to your secret swap recipient:

Your Amity mama username:

Color Preferences:

Kitchen "theme" if you have one:

Any allergies (wool, synthetics, etc.)

How many in your family (in case a mama sends napkins for the family):

Any other information we should know about you and your kitchen LOL:

Of course, I will PM each of you and ask for your mailing address, which will ONLY be given to the mama you are recieving from, so don't post it here, naturally.

I will assign each person a secret swap recipient, we will make our packages, mail them out, and then a week or so later, spill the beans as to who our secret swap person was

I will move this post to the swap subforum once it gets some exposure

Come on mamas Let's have a great swap!

Sounds fun, I want in! Do we post here with our info (yes, I know, I'm slow on the uptake, LOL).

Okay, ETA my info :

Your Amity mama username: Daphne

Color Preferences: Any. Like bright colors (no pastels), tie dye, batik prints, etc.

Kitchen "theme" if you have one: Funky and eclectic, LOL. Nothing matches.

Any allergies (wool, synthetics, etc.) Nope.

How many in your family (in case a mama sends napkins for the family): 5

Any other information we should know about you and your kitchen LOL: I love retro looking things (like '70s daisy print... what most other people would think is ugly, LOL). Most of my dishes and coffee cups were picked up from the Salvation Army (so much easier to deal with if something breaks... then I don't freak out!) and I like that everything is kind of funky and hodgepodge.

Ohhhh...I want to do this.
Tuesday, I have TERRIBLE memory lately. Would you be willing to send reminder PMs?

Your Amity mama username: JeniLyn

Color Preferences: Purple and green (medium hues--not too light and not super dark lol)

Kitchen "theme" if you have one: Tea--I have a wall hanging quilt with tea pots, my curtains are flour sack towels with tea pots and I have a hanging plaque with a picture of Chamomile plants.

Any allergies (wool, synthetics, etc.) none, but I prefer natural fibers (not too worried about it, though)

How many in your family (in case a mama sends napkins for the family): 5

Any other information we should know about you and your kitchen LOL: I have natural wood, no microwave, open shelving, no space for nic-nacs- lol!!

Yeah--this will be fun!!

Color Preferences: orange, peacock blue, copper, earthtones

Kitchen "theme" if you have one: Goddess/kitchen witch with a generous helping of nature table, lawn gnomes, and rainbows. I have 3 large windows of rainbow making prisms and blown glass balls.

Any allergies (wool, synthetics, etc.) nope

How many in your family (in case a mama sends napkins for the family):
there are just 3 of us now.

Any other information we should know about you and your kitchen LOL:
My kitchen opens into my living room (hence the peacock and orange which are my living room colors) and is almost entirely visible from the front door. We just moved in in January so I'm still in the first stages of decoration and I plan on it shifting with the seasons. I love deep saturated color and the unusual. I'm not into pastels, country, or cute. This is my first real kitchen, and we have only had a table since our move, so table linens/napkins are especially appreciated and I basically need everything. I collect lawn gnomes and this is where they are currently living
