I almost feel bad, he's 8 weeks old, and this is the first I've sewn for him (didn't do anything when pregnant either ) But I'm really coming out of my slump (1.5yrs long), and have more things that just need snaps to be finished, and a bunch of stuff ready to be started.
Both from Ottobre 6/07, size 62, kimono snap shirt, and the ghost overalls. I love both of them! I'm probably the laziest sewer alive, and never iron anything if I can avoid it. But for the shirt, I ironed the ribbed binding into 3rds first, then was able to just coverstitch it on (used the 3 needles for the first time). Everything came out SO much better then the way I had done it before (sew in on right sides together, flip over, coverhem, trim excess). I used a pretty GN interlock a friend gave me, and tried to be a bit different (and keep it GN) by using the green ribbing/binding. I love the length of the shirt - it doesn't bunch up as much as shorter ones when he's held. I added a bit of length to the sleeves since my babe seems to have freakishly long arms. The color is more accurate in the other pic.
The overalls are velour I got at WM for $1/yrd, and they go pretty well with the striped romper the bear in the shirt print is wearing I should of added a bit of length to the legs, I kept having to pull them down at church.
