Does anyone have any "manly" fabric scraps?

I'm gonna put my iso out there now as I know I will need a full year to get all my xmas gifts done for Christmas 2008 lol

The biggest one to make is also the one I'm most excited about and I know will be loved. I want to make my dad a quilt. He is very much a cover up with a blanket on the couch guy... so I know it will get displayed in the livingroom and used a ton. I will add to the quilt embrodiered patches with his favorite things, some sayings ect, "scenes" that truly reflect him.

The overall theme and color scheme is Wilderness - My plan is to embrodier patches such as : bullet casings, rifle w/scope, hunting boots, bow & arrow, try to copy his tree stand , pine cones, bucks head, possibly a simple mountain backdrop with a elk head infront since he really liked the one trip to Colorado years and years ago where he got an elk. And the 2 most precious patches will be the doggies that have passed within the past few years -- spike and annabelle - spikey was his dog indeed and I know he still misses him. and then just some simple sayings and maybe some skinny patches of deer tracks ...

I've started to compile brown and green tones and would like to try to work in various textures.

Does anyone have any flannels in browns, dark greens, tans - solids, kinda that tiedyed looking stuff, plaids or paisleys in these types of color schemes?

same with cordaroy?

printed wovens that have pinecones, bark, leaves, pine needles?

these can be tiny scraps of just a few inches or larger pieces - anything would be appreciated and used!

anyone wanna weed out some scraps ?? I don't have any pp for them, but maybe we could work out a trade of some type? I'm doing lots of decluttering and I may have something?

If you want to work something out after the holidays LMK!

TIA!

Seems like denim would go good with that and you could find soft jeans at the thrift to salvage.

I'm cutting the boys some flannel lounge pants in a tan wildlife scene. I have some scraps already. May have more than just scraps when I'm totally done. I will have to look later.
