recycled baby outfit from a thermal henly SNS

I found one of my favorite shirts of dh's in the closet the other day that he will not wear anymore because its stained. I decided to turn it into a baby top and pants I used the neckline and button down part for the tee shirt, used the pre-hemmed sleeves for the shirt sleeves and the bottom of the shirt pre-hemmed for the pants. I also made a matching diaper but didnt take a picture of it.

That is so cute!!!! Did you use any kind of pattern, or just wing it. What size was the shirt to begin with?

Thanks guys I used the new conceptions body shirt pattern and just made it a shirt instead of a body suit and the new conceptions basic layette pants with about an inch extra at the bottom since I didnt use ribbing on the legs. It was very easy.

Great job! I did something similar last week (posted a SNS here) except I used the shirt's sleeves (they were long sleeves) for the baby's pants (like leggings). I liked the fact that they already had cuffs attached.

That looks great!

One of my favorite shirts for Grant was made from an old Lands End polo that Simon had worn holes in. I loved it and so did Grant. He always said it reminded him of Daddy!
