SnS...my 3rd ever sewing project

I made Jackson his first stocking. I made Savannah's when she was born (my first ever sewing project). It turned out ok...it was an awful cuff fabric...but I got all the fabric for $1.50....so not too bad!

Ditto!! How do you have the garland hanging on the mantel? Nails, pins, etc?
Dh won't let me put nails in the mantel but wondering if you had another way. Just gorgeous.

Sewing is fun, huh?!!

I expect your children will treasure those stockings their whole lives! Love the shiny/matte contrast between fabrics.

julie that is beautiful! only your third time sewing? wow! (shh...it's addictive!)

i'm trying to convince my guys that i need to make us stockings. we use some extremely garish sequined ones that his aunt made for all of us. she made dh's when he was born, then when we married i got one...and each of our children in turn. being crafty myself, i *really* appreciate the time and effort she put in...she really loves us...but sequins are just not my thing, yk?

yours are beautiful! i'm inspired to make some for next year...that will be me at the joann's clearance in 4 weeks rofl!!

That looks awesome Julie! I have half finished 6yr old christmas stockings for us........I really should pull them out and finish them eventually. I made the kids some cute fleece ones last year just because I still hadn't gotten to the others- Bayus doesn't have anything.
