I'm not on the sewing forum much because I'm really not as much of a sewing mama as much as a sewing mama wannabe. But I just had to come in and brag that I made costumes for ds and dd for Halloween and saved a bundle! I only spent like $3.50. And they turned out cute. I didn't use a pattern or anything, just kinda sewed any which way. I still need to add a couple things if I'm feeling ambitious, but if not they still look good. Anyway I just had to share. Sorry no picture yet.

reminds me of the first costume I "made" - a bat... and it was less than $2.00 at the time. ah, memories! and you and your children are making them!

Cool--hurry and post pictures, Ann!! I'll bet they're adorable!

I remember the first costume I sewed...it was a dinosaur, and Steven was only 16 months old. He loved it, and I have pictures of him walking around and saying "Roar!"

I agree--these are the things that make memories. Enjoy them!

Ok, I added a pic to my sig!
And here's more of a side view to see the Leia hair. LOL
Except I had to make the picture so small you can't really see it. Oh well, anyways...at least you get an idea.
