A HUGE hodge podge of S&S's

of things I've sewn in the last few months. I hardly ever do sew n shows and am trying to do more. I rarely take pictures when I finish something, and usually wait until it's been worn a couple of times and then the excitement has worn off so I never show it. So I'm trying to take pics when I finish it and put it on dd for the first time.

First is my first shirred dress. The fabric is from a Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic curtain from Target, I love her fabrics and am a bit addicted to searching for them but can't afford the prices, $30 or $40 a yard is way out of my league so I get the sheets and curtains on sale (or not). The trim and the barrette are from a baby blue and white gingham (gingham is another of my addictions).

Barrette is made from a little of the left over binding

Next is a camo knit swing top from the Jayme dress pattern I altered to a swing top and a ruffle at the bottom of the top. Pants are wide leg capris w/a casing and draw string at the bottom made from Joanns brown egyptian cotton. I have a matching outfit I havent taken a pic of yet, camo tank top and tiered skirt for me.

Emma's holding the top in, it swings out more at the bottom

Next is my first and only twirly skirt, man that thing took a ton of fabric!! The original plan was to get some cheap fabric I didn't care about and just make the skirt for dd to dance in, she's been asking me for a "dancing dress", well this thing took on a life of it's own with all the ruffles and decorative stitching and headscarf. The headscarf has a plastic headband in a casing on the front.

Next are 3 outfits I made for dd this past spring, all mock cross tops from the KS swing top pattern I altered. First is Munki inchworm top and green rib knit I got from barb pants from the Jalie yoga pants pattern (I love this pattern), sorry for all the pictures, I was just so proud of how this one turned out.

Next is Munki sushi knit top from the same altered pattern and baby blue velour yoga pants from the same pants pattern as above.
Sorry you can't see this one very well, this is the only picture I have of it.

This one is the same patterns as the above 2. I love these fabrics, I think I got them from cheeky monkey, both are cotton lycra.

Next is a terry bath robe from the Kwik Sew robe pattern. She absolutely despises this thing (can you tell? LOL) and I worked my butt off on it, the whole robe has binding all the way around the body, the pockets and the sleeves. I ended up just putting this up for awhile and I'm going to try again in the fall and see if she likes it then.

Next are Sponge Bob pj's I made for my goddaughters b-day and ended up making matching sets for her brothers and Emma. I made the pants and used store bought shirts and appliqed the front of them.

I forgot to show this earlier in the summer when I showed all the sets like this I did for Em. Jayme dress top and capri pants from Munki sushi poplin.

Last is same as above w/Joanns cotton/lycra knit top and PRR sea twill capri pants w/matching hat. I just love how this outfit turned out.

Ok finally that's it for now, I have a ton more to show but I'll wait a week or so, LOL. Sorry to those of you w/dial up

That post took me so long to do that dh was keeping dd busy and she cut a chunk of hair in the back w/her sissors, grrrr and it's not like she can spare much.

Val~I think most people are posting at sewingmamas.com now so it's been much slower around here.

Heather~I miss you over here, I was just cleaning out my 1200 emails, LOL, and came across an email from you I never read (easy to do w/over a thousand emails), I was just about to reply to it, 3 months later
