The quilt I was supposed to hate SnS

and I it! Sugar Puffs!

It is a gift to my MIL and FIL. My husband's aunt (FIL's sister) lived with them for *9 years* until she passed away in March 2004. Abigail is named after her (she Aunt Fern share the same middle name - June). I take my hat off to both of them, but especially my MIL for being commited to letting Aunt Fern enjoy her last years in a family environment rather then a nursing home. My MIL *insisted* that Aunt Fern be discharged from the hospital 2 weeks before she died so that she could die in her own bed rather then a cold, sterile hospital room.

So that is the little story behind the quilt. I hope they enjoy it and it keeps them warm through many a cold, wintery Michigan night.

The late evening sun made the colors look funky and pardon the grass clippings. Michael mowed last night. I will post another picture when I get the binding done.

TFL!

wow that is so beautiful and I'm sure they will appreciate it!

tell me - if I were to make a big quilt to hang in our stairwell - would I drive myself nuts? I think more than anything I'm afraid of binding and quilting over the actual piecing...
