Sewing mamas!Calling all AmityMama's who like to sew! Do you make quilts, clothes, diapers, bags? Do you love to run your fingers through fiber? Can't get enough just sewing, but want to talk about it too? Come on in!
I've never made any mama clothes before so Shannon was nice enough to loan me her Kwiksew Book so I could make some shirts. I made 2 of these for the mama swap but I'm not real happy with how they turned out so I don't think I'll send them. Dh was nice enough to snap a quick picture before he left for work.
The main thing I don't like about the pattern is the sleeves. I even shortened them a bit and I still don't like them. They seem too baggy to me. The length of the shirt seems a little short but it's about right for me. I'm still nursing so I don't need to be able to tuck the shirt in.

Pretty! I think it's really flattering, and I adore that print.
I finally gave away my KSES book, everything was too boxy for me, not fitted enough.

I had the same problem w/the kses t-shirt pattern, I ended up hacking off quite a few inches off my pattern piece and it's a much more modern pattern now. I also angled in my pattern piece a little at the waist, so it curves in a bit.

Me and my girls
Summer's new haircut, we cut 10 inches off and donated to locks of love.
i think it looks great! i have made one t-shirt from kses and i was shocked at the arms. lol they were just rediculously big. but you must've taken just the right amount off. they don't look too big at all.
I think your shirt looks great. I will agree with you about the sleeves and the length . . . the KSES sleeves seem wide to me and I always add at least two inches to the bottom hem line. I too hacked up my pattern to make my "just for me" pattern.
Your v-neck looks perfect and the shirt is very flattering.
