Sewing mamas!Calling all AmityMama's who like to sew! Do you make quilts, clothes, diapers, bags? Do you love to run your fingers through fiber? Can't get enough just sewing, but want to talk about it too? Come on in!
Hard to believe...I have over-embellished S&S! ha ha!
Western is not my thing, but I have now participated in the SOAA How the West was Fun!
I over-killed this outfit with conchos. You won't believe I actually took two of them off. Now, I've got a Cowgirl Madonna with a concho-metal bra. Totally not the look I intended, but I got concho carried away. I wasn't going to post this, as I truly don't care for it, but then we must share our sucesses and our failures...musn't we, girls?
It's a make-over.
The before...Vintage Rodeo Queen...tons of fabric.
Here is the after and I just looked on ebay and it actually has a bid. Where is the shocked face smiley?
Daisy's original pose of the week!

I already saw the auction and thought it was adorable!! Then, I read this:

and laughed out loud! LOL! Might've woke up the baby... lol
Daisy is such a natural with posing! My 7 year old usually gives the big "but mom, the sun is in my eyeees" look and the 4 year old scrunches up her face reaaaallly tightly instead of smiling normally. lol It's rare to get a halfway decent picture... and I keep seeing Daisy's sweet, smiling little face... wondering if there's a trick to it that I'm missing in a big way! LOL!

I'm glad you got a laugh out of it. I've been laughing myself.
Forgive me if I've talked about this before. My oldest daughter, Molly, would have NEVER in a million years wanted to cooperate with me. We have marvelled at how laid back and easy-going Daisy is. Molly would have said, "I'm too sweaty. It's not fair my brothers get to play and I'm having to model. Why don't they have to model? This outfit is too poofy, too itchy, too straight, too long, too many polka-dots...." It just wouldn't have been her thing at all. She wanted to be movin' and a groovin' at all times!
So far, Daisy has been a breeze, plus she gets paid 50 cents per outfit and loves to shop at Michael's with her 50% off coupon. I think it's just a personality thing.

That's probably most of it, lol. My girls are both uber-busy kinds of kids. I've tried getting "action shots" but both of them wind up looking like hockey players in action instead of dainty flower fairies, lol. BUT, I haven't tried payment! LOL I don't know why that didn't occur to me... they're both saving their pennies right now for Disney World this summer, so I might have some leverage now, lol!! (the stern Mommy-look just isn't working when it comes to pictures, roflol)

Cute outfit! Lemme have a talk with Miss Daisy there and I'll let her know that her beautiful poses and time are worth WAY more than 50 cents LOL Poor girls getting ripped off. I think they're worth AT LEAST 1 dollar.
Great job on the dress Melony!!! You do such nice work. I wish you lived closer to me so we could hang out and I can snag some lessons from you lol
p.s. I think you and I were the only ones that knew what a concho was LOL
How absolutely cute! I *love* it! And hey, make that 3 of us who know what conchos are...but, then, I think I sent you those. And, I think it's illegal to live in Texas if you don't know what conchos are
I think it's adorable ---- it's got great "twirl" potential!!! And Daisy, of course, makes it irresistable. Hard to believe it used to be a dress for grown ups, eh?
