ISO Midwife gift ideas

I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to do something special for my mw - she is just an awesome person!

But I don't know what! roflol. I was thinking maybe a messenger style bag with mother's day fabric inside (is that going to cost me an arm and leg?) with maybe the Kanji for midwife (if there is one, lol) on the flap?? Would that be too corny?

And then if I did that, I'd want to fill it with stuff - and again - no clue what!

Anyone want to help with ideas??

If you can't find any mother's day that's reasonable I have some Mom's of the world left.

I would put some hot/cold packs in it. Maybe an insulated drinking something or another.

Other than that I have no idea.

I love the idea of a messenger bag. They are the BEST, IMO. I have a really great pattern for one if you want me to trace it for you. It is easy to make and doesn't have alot of pieces.

This is what I would stuff it with:

Matching zippered bag for "essentials" while on the run

Water bottle with one of those freezer sticks to put in it to keep it cold (I have seen them at WM for around $2.00)

Trail mix or granola bars (for when she is on the run delivering babies)

Sarah/snugbug's oragami tissue cover w/ a couple packs of travel size tissues

Fabric covered journal

Nice lavender or tto hand lotion

Burt's Bees lip balm

HTH and make sure you post a SnS with your finished product.
