S&S a tad different and not too exciting

My ironing board is a mess so I picked up some 100% cotton decorator fabric yesterday at JA's and fixed up my ironing board.

I burnt the orginal one with my iron, might have been some of my little helpers that contributed to the incident. Anyhow, I just traced the old cover and made this brand new one.

You can see a sample of my stash is the background, I was thinking of blocking it out but couldn't figure how to use the editing feature.

HOLY BIGGEBERS Pam! WOW, that's quite a stash! Why edit it out, we all need to see each other's stash! I wonder if mine would look like that if it was all on shelves instead of totes?

Very cool on the irnong board. I want to do the same, but am patiently waiting on my Amy Buter fabric.

The ironing board cover is a nice idea and it looks great. I too am enjoying a glimpse of your stash. Such great colors going on back there.

Your before picture looks like mine does now. OK, I'm inspired. How did you do it? Trace around it --OK I see you did that, but then did you add some and elasticize?? It looks awesome!!

Wow that is really cool...and I too love that shape. Really neat Your stash is nice. I need to get some shelves so I have full view access of mine. LOL Like Meagan, mine is all "toted" away.

I am curious...does the cotton work good as a cover? I have always bought teh special non-staining, non-burning cover and well lets just say it ends up looking like your before! LOL. I just bought a new one 50% off JA so I will try this when this one says goodbye. Thanks for sharing....a very cool idea.

Thanks Heather! I think eventually the cover will look like the other one over time. I've had that one for three years and it's had quite a work out. Only warning I have is don't get anything with Poly in it or it will melt away. And I really didn't want to use a quilter's cotton because it's thinner, there's a metal mesh thing underneath and I like the thickness of the decorator fabric. There also a pad that was originally on it and I just reused that and added a layer of killington underneath as well to make it soft and plushy

Shecki & Kim~ You show me yours and I'll show you mine

That's part of my woven section of the stash :0 I love that I can see everything. I've sectioned everything off by types of fabric and then by boy or girls section with in those sections. But definately not as organized as I would like it.
