Hawaiian shirred dress SnS

This was my first woven shirred clothing and I enjoyed it. My fabric was 50 wide instead of 45 and I thought it was too big but it worked out well. I had to steam the heck out of it to get it to scrunch up tight though.

Ignore the bottom, that is where I started the shirring, but it wasn't working right. Started to seam rip and got sick of doing it do just flipped it over and shirred the other side lol. Still need to rip those threads out.

Also think I need to pull the dress down more so it's not all bunched up under her arm pits. But the straps are just pinned on anyway.

Blue is definitely a great color on that girl of yours

I really appreciate the classic style of the dress. I bought some elastic thread a week ago and am now need to do more research on shirring.

I like it! I made Brianna a Hello Kitty one like that a couple years ago, and the little bugger would have nothing to do with it.

That's cute Crystal. I'm seriously considering a shirred dress for myself. I think they're so cute.

I MUST give that a try. I've been a chicken about it, but that inspires me. Oh, my...blue is THE perfect color for your little girl. She looks beautiful in that. Good job!
