Yep, I got a new sewing machine!! My mother's day present to myself, since my SO didn't get me anything...lol Thanks to Michelle (kkdmommy) for purchasing it and shipping it to me last week while we were in the hospital. It arrived today safe and sound via fedex.

I had been contemplating wether or not I should try to repair my Necchi or try and come up with the cash in a hurry to buy the Brother CS 8150 (at Michelle's local WM, it was the last one). During this time, I came to the conclusion that I am just not cut out to make and sell items via my website. The problem is I really don't enjoy making diapers anymore and when I make really cute outfits to sell I end up liking them way too much and end up keeping them.

And then feeling guilty cause I never have anything new to list in my store.

So all this boils down to this: I have sold my website to get this new machine. My old machines were fine to learn on, but now I want a machine I can grow and progress with. My other 3 sewing machines were very limited in their functions and stitches and I just could not do all the things I wanted to learn. Now I can! And now I can sew for my family and not feel guilty about sewing for a business. Much less stressful this way and no one breathing down my neck telling me I better sell something to justify keeping the webspace.

So without further rambling....here's my first creation with my new Brother. (size 24 months) Peasant top made from a vintage woven. Capri pants are mostly poly woven (I think, not real sure of content...lol) with pink decorative stitching and frayed hem. I am selling this set as well, to raise some extra money to pay someone I owe on here. It will be listed on the market board in a few minutes. Thanks for looking!
