What are your favorite Preemie patterns?

I know Alot of my Kwik Sew patterns have x-small, You think that will fit a 5 pound baby alright? Got any favorites, KS or otherwise, you can reccomend?

KS xs would be huge on a preemie. It's for 8lb, 21" newborns (according to pattern sheet).

I've used the New conceptions baby essentials preemie pattern before, and I think that would be a little big even on a 5lber. Her's a pic of Alannah in a slightly modified NCBE outfit. She was 6lb, 4oz, and 19" long. Head was 13". I just made the pants w/o the cuff to be bloomers, and made the top longer and a-lined it a bit to be more like a dress.

If you have Ottobre, there's a few issues that have size 50 clothes in them. I think those would be your best bet, though I haven't made any yet! I think Alannah would have a little room to grow in the 56, and the 50's would be too small.

Well, shoot - guess I should trace out the 50 instead for the outfit I have planned that I want to fit NOW, huh?

I really like New Conceptions Layette Basics preemie gown pattern. It snaps up the front. There's also a union suit in the pattern. I've made a few for charity. I really wish I would have had some of the snap up gowns when my twins were born 8 weeks early. They would have been perfect while still in the hospital while they were still on monitors.
