eyes OMG! Wanna make some good $$, sell your PRR sea whales!

On ebay, going for nearly $27 a yard!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WDVW

I have one lonely yard of it, kinda makes me wish I bought two....

I think it is just the jersey going for such a high price. I don't think it would be near as high if it was twill or corded cotton. I didn't even like the print that much until I saw it in person.

It could just be a bidding war too. I sold some fabric on ebay that closed at $10 and the week before I saw the exact same thing sell for $21.

Well I don't know. I bought this from a seperate source and I'm not sure that the warehouse even had the twill. The flower twill has been selling for more than the knit since it's more rare.

Hmm...

I have the corded cotton and the twill. I'll have to keep an eye on that.

I have 4 yards of the twill that I got from 2 different people so I think it was available at the warehouse. The whales print does seem to be pretty popular though regardless of what fabric it is.

Amber was selling some of the twill the other day, so I'm sure it was available there.

Just because 1 yard sold for that much doesn't mean it will sell for that much again, even next week. Ebay doesn't work that way. I've seen a certain yard of prr sell for $26 one week and then the exact same thing sell for $6 the next week. Your best bet would be to list the same fabric right after that one closes with a BIN for a buck or so less then the closing price. That way the person who was bidding against the high bidder would see your and jump on it. There are 2 bidders bidding against each other making that auction so high. There may not be a 3rd person willing to pay so much and therefore the next auction for this fabric might not get bid up so high. I don't know if that all made any sense and it's just my opinion...Also there are still 3 days left on the auction, it could go even higher!

I just noticed that the same seller has 2 yards of the whales that's at $31 or one yard for $27. It doesn't always make a lot of sense why some things get bid up so high. I bought the prr picnic & butterflies twill (yd of each) for less than I had seen 1 yard of the picnic sell for. I think that was your auction Melissa and I couldn't believe it didn't go for more.
