Quick Gift Question

My dd's friend is having a b-day party tomorrow and I was going to make her a skirt. They only wear ankle length skirts so I was wondering...would it look silly to make a gored skirt with godets ankle length or should I just stick to an A line skirt. What other king of skirt would look good ankle length on an 8 yo.

THanks!!

I think the gored skirt sounds like a good idea, Lisa. Might make it a little more interesting that your typical A-line.

Thanks meagan. I made it last night and it turned out sooo cute. I was trying to use some fabric Shannon sent me. THere wasn't really enough so 2 of the gores are going with the grain and 2 against hopefully not a huge deal in a kids skirt. LOL

Finally get to put some points on the board for the East. If I would figure out button holes I would be able to finish 3 skirts and 2 pairs of pants. They all need button holes for drawstring.
