I don't know if any words could console me if I was in your shoes, so here's a hug.

oh no!!!!! i've had a similar feeling, but about wallpaper and a certain son of mine!

I'm so sorry she did that to your hard work (and love that we mamas put into those clothes).

I'm thinking, if it were my 5yo, she would have to live in dad's white undershirts and one pair of pants for a few weeks since she can't take care of her clothes. and NO scissors for EVER, or a year, or some length of time that would feel that way to a 5yo.

I like the advice to sew for the others and strike on making her anything.

Well my dh made her wear the dress the rest of the day. It took a few safety pins to keep it on. I definitely don't think she'll be doing it again. I'm going to concentrate on making stuff for my babies and for me for awhile. My older 2 have gotten plenty of new stuff recently. My twins turn 1 next month and I want to make some matching outfits for their birthday.

Here's a pic of what it looks like now. She cut into the binding too which you can't really see. It's on backwards.

Oh my, she really cut it a lot! I was expecting a few snips. I'm sorry mama! She looks slightly resentful in the picture. LOL
