Question Baby Lulu Raspberry Mums - Is it 100% cotton?

I thought the Baby Lulu fabric was all 100% cotton. When I went to prewash the Raspberry Mums this morning, I thought it felt a bit strange. I haven't done a burn test. Has anyone else? I don't think I like it as much as I thought. Perhaps I'll sell it..........

I don't think so. I know that I have some RTW made out of a similar Baby Lulu fabric and the tag said something like 75% cotton, 25% rayon. HTH.

Yes - I believe the mums are 100% cotton...most of their heavier wovens like that are...we used to buy a lot of lulu when Emma was younger. The only things that aren't 100% cotton are the lycras for swimsuits and the chenille.

Here's an example. I have this fabric, and a RTW hat made from it. The material content is listed in this auction. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WDVW

Also 70/30 cotton rayon - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WDVW

Is the stuff with the rayon in it have a diamond texture to it? I've got 2 yards of the roses with a diamond texture and I don't like the feel of it as well as the rib knits. Those feel 100% cotton to me.

This one is for sure ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WDVW ) but I think the texture on this ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WDVW ) is more like the raspberry mums. All the knits are 100% cotton.

I never thought about it before this post, and I just traded mine... But that would make sense that it had some rayon. It kinda has a "sheen" to it...

BTW, I believe this one was one of the knits she's got right now. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sPageName=WDVW

i havne't done a burn test (wouldn't rayon burn like cotton sicne it is made from wood pulp?) but I would say it is either a cotton/rayon blend or all cotton. I think alot of the feel of it is because of the finish and sizing. yk? I really don't think it has poly in it. I know when I first felt it I thought "oh crap!" but after working with it I don't think it has any poly. I would believe the rayon though, it has beautiful drape

I've always found rayon to burn like cotton. I love the raspberry mums. It will make a lovely skirt for me.
