The Wood Nymphs S&S~

Let me start off by saying that if you have any organic velour in your possession, please go get it in a dye bath NOW. This stuff dyes soooooo well! When my next batch arrives, I'm going to make Sophie a pair of dyed pants and put the velour side facing her legs.

So, I'm trying to do some more "specialty" items for my biz... We're doing another collaberation at MiddayFaire this month ~ MAYSILKS, with silks dyed by Joyce of Elliebelly. For that, I did this set ~ Embellished Wool Cover, OV diaper (inner and outer YUMMMYYY!!), a doubler, and the playsilk.

I also did a Large set, with OV lap topped t-shirt, wool board shorts/capris, OV dipe, and doubler. The top is Burda 9880. I really love the look of the pattern but the sizing is horrible! The shirt below was supposed to be for the small set above; I cut the 6m/68cm size and it fits Sophie. The 18m/86cm shirt that I made that was supposed to go with the set below is more like a size 4. blah!

A few more in reply. LOL

Here's the 4T shirt, that was supposed to be an 18m.

And finally, one of my high school/college friends is having a baby and she's coming over tomorrow so I made her a newborn wool cover and matching lay-in doublers that I *think* she should be able to use as "diapers" in the beginning...

TFL! Sorry for all the pics -- I'm such a picture hog.

Very nice. It is all sooooo lovely. The dye job you did is TDF. Your friend is lucky.

that is just gorgeous!! I'm in love with the wool board shorts. I think Kallan needs some.

I am thinking of co-oping organic velour in June, the price would be 9 to 10$ a yard depending on quantity. I have no clue how that compares though. Is it a good price? You can pm me if you would rather.

The co-op prices I've been paying have been $8.74/yd I think. But it's also been VERY hard to come by lately as the mill is running behind. I managed to snag 20 yards this week though. Oh, and it's my understanding that they're thinking of taking the production of the OV overseas (to Turkey) because they can't keep up with demand at the US mill. Not sure how that would affect the price though, if at all...

You know, I'm marketing them as a gender neutral sets. Although I do see how they lend to the girly side a little bit... Actually, my original intention was that they would *BE* boy sets. LOL The color of the wool is a rust color -- it does lend to red a little bit which makes it look mauve. At any rate, I hope there's some adventurous diapering mamas out there with boys that will find the set *whimsical* and not "girly". ROFL
