Sewing mamas!Calling all AmityMama's who like to sew! Do you make quilts, clothes, diapers, bags? Do you love to run your fingers through fiber? Can't get enough just sewing, but want to talk about it too? Come on in!
You all won't believe this, but I'm actually going to sns only ONE thing in this post for a change!!
The pics are deceiving ... the bag is larger than it looks. I couldn't figure out what to put in the pic for size reference, though. The width is 16", if that helps.
Butler "chelsea rose" on the top, "dotty beans" on the bottom. I used my *favorite* vintage button for the closure because it just looked like it was supposed to be there ... I'm already mourning the loss of my button because I listed it.
Ah well, on to the pics!

And a close-up of my late, great, beloved button:
I love your use of the fabrics, the trim and the perfect button. Hopefully your button will go to a home where it will be loved, admired and strutted around town to be shown off.

That's beautiful Julia! I just made a bag with a 16" opening at the top and I think it's the perfect size - big enough to carry a day's worth of supplies, but not so big you feel like you're carrying around a suitcase, lol. The button is a wonderful touch. I'm sure it will be well-loved in it's new home

Incredible as usual.
You soooooooooooooo need to come down here and go shopping at Legacy(our fabric thrift store) It has oooodles of buttons and vintage fabrics. All SUPER cheap.
Thanks mamas!
It actually does make me feel better to think the new owner is going to love this button as much as I do. I know getting so attached to vintage buttons is truly bizarre. I think it's just the history ... like, if this button could tell me everywhere it has been, everything it has "seen" ...
Suzanne--you don't know how tempting that is! Sounds like a little piece of heaven.
