I found the best peasant dress pattern sns! ***and it's FS, it's too big for her :(**
I believe its Simplicity 5118, whips together pretty quickly. No modeling pic, maybe later, Summer is napping. (She needed a nap severely! )
Thanks for looking!

ooh thats very pretty! Funny, I just got that same pattern..I skipped parts though & made it one pc instead of the two..I need to try it like that I really like it!
LOL, I skipped parts too! I didn't do the bias tape casing on the arms, I just sewed the elastic on above the hem with a triple zig zag stitch. And I used foe on the neckiline rather than making a casing and then sewing on decorative trim. I think next time I make it, I'll make it a one piece as well......
I used a similar pattern once, but I did do a bias tape casing inside for both the sleeves and the mid-section and it took so long for a peasant top that I swore I'd never do it again, lol. It did come out cute though. I think it's the one DD is wearing in my sig picture actually, lol.
I love the fabric you used. It'll be so cute on her!

Thanks ladies, but alas it's too big, Summer is too tiny. GRRRRR, I really hate the big 3 patterns!!!! I'm gonna have to size it down quite a bit and make her another one, luckily I have more of that fabric left.
It's more of a 2T/3T fit. (The pattern called it a 1/2 size, so I thought it would have a small bit of growing room for her, boy was I wrong....lol
I've made both the size 2 and the size 4 in that pattern, and the fit has been right on. I don't know why yours turned out so big. Did you take the full 5/8" seam allowance? To get the fit right you have to. I've never had a big 3 pattern turn out huge, I usually only have to shorten them.
