Sewing mamas!Calling all AmityMama's who like to sew! Do you make quilts, clothes, diapers, bags? Do you love to run your fingers through fiber? Can't get enough just sewing, but want to talk about it too? Come on in!
My grandparents use to live in Big Bear when I was little. I still have my mukluks that I wore when I was about 3. I'd really love to go back sometime. it's been so long.

I'm not native, but I have family that is that sent Kuspuks to my daughters as gifts when they were born. From what I know, a Kuspuk is worn over heavy winter clothing by Native Northern people. Since they must wear warm winter coats, the Kuspuks are their way of displaying colorful clothing -- they are purely decorative and are worn over layers of warm winter clothing just like we would wear a shirt. Another way to wear beautiful colors.
ETA: It's interesting to see OOOOOLLLD thread revived, lol. No idea where to find a pattern though
That is so adorable! Your daughter is beautiful too!! can you tell me where to get a pattern so I can make one? Any leads as to where I could find one would be greatly appreciated!
