Sewing mamas!Calling all AmityMama's who like to sew! Do you make quilts, clothes, diapers, bags? Do you love to run your fingers through fiber? Can't get enough just sewing, but want to talk about it too? Come on in!
Forever ago, Stephanie/barefootfairy sent me this embroidered ladybug fabric in a mystery swap. It's one of my favorite fabrics and I've been admiring it, visiting, petting and smiling at it in my stash frequently, but couldn't make myself cut into it. Then Suzanne issued her favorite fabric sewing challenge and I decided to be brave and thought it would be cute made up in the new Ottobre peasant top pattern. Stephanie also sent some red/white gingham that I want to make a pair of capris with, does anyone have a tried and true pattern to recommend for 2T/3T?
The pants she's wearing are a size "1" (as in one year old) from a Simplicity pattern. They're supposed to be capris, you can imagine that when I made them for her when she was around 10 months old that they were a skosh long.

Very cute! She's smiling!
Did L get a hair cut or is it just pulled back?
I know I couldn't believe it, I asked to take a pic of her and she stood still for me and said, "I'm smiling for mine picture". We both got haircuts, hers isn't as short as it looks in the picture though.
Jayme~your daughter is just precious! She looks so tiny and so sweet. Funny, I'm working on this exact pattern this afternoon. I think it's running a tad small for us, the sleeves don't really cap on my daughter shoulder. So it's a redo for us. I love the fabric you chose, I know how hard it is to cut into a favorite fabric. Wonderful job!
I have a great pattern recommendation It's Ottobre 1/2003 #15, I've used this a bunch and it's such a great pattern, I love it! It's a capri pant with a ruffle on the bottom.
