Sewing mamas!Calling all AmityMama's who like to sew! Do you make quilts, clothes, diapers, bags? Do you love to run your fingers through fiber? Can't get enough just sewing, but want to talk about it too? Come on in!
A little late, I know, but here is what was supposed to be Brenny's Easter outfit. I was up 'till 1:30 the night before Easter slaving away to finish it. Well, as soon as I was through, I could tell it wasn't going to fit my big lug. And it didn't. I made the size 18 months, but it was a little too short through the rise. I would say it's a 12-18 month.
I was sooooooooo disappointed because it turned out really cute. I found the fabrics at this really cool quilt store that I can never afford to go to, but I figured, "hey, it's for Easter!". Well anyway, I guess I'm offering it for sale.
I am really happy with the way it turned out, but this was my first time to do sleeves with a woven, and I just didn't trust myself to serge that part. So, they are just attached using a regular sewing machine. But, it still looks nice.
I'm thinking I'll ask $10 ppd, if anyone is interested. Thanks for looking!!
ETA: It has been sold!

That's adorable. Sorry it didn't fit. When I'm sewing sleeves in wovens, I never serge them first either. I always sew them first, make sure everything went together right, then serge to finish the seam edges.

You know, it's funny that you call your son Brenny. My inlaws call him that all the time lol! You KNOW they're going to hate it when our boys get older lol!

Is that the Simplicity pattern? I've made an outfit like that once, for Eli. I'm sorry it didn't fit your baby! How disappointing.

Yes, Shecki, it's Simplicity 4711. I just loved the simple classic look of it--I had planned to make the sailor suit, but got scared!
Can you measure the rise? if it will fit Kallan, I want it.
Kristi, it measures about 15.5 inches from neck to crotch, slightly longer in back. Will that fit?
Danaia, it's funny, but we spent all this time coming up with just the right names for our kids, and we usually call them by their nicknames, lol! Go figure!
P.S. Thanks for all the compliments!! Ya'll are very sweet!
