dentist Doll Family Completed!!! Finally I Can Rest!

Here they are! I posted a pic of my first prototype previously, about a week ago. From left to right; Sister, Grandpa, Grandma, Brother, Dad, Baby and Mommy. They needed to have no emotional quality to their faces so I just gave them little gingerbread eyes. Yarn hair. Most of the clothing I sewed but some is crochet. Painted on glasses for grammy and grampy and they are all sporting painted shoes. All clothing items are easily removable.

My friend, the family counselor, bought this set and I already have other counselors who want the dollies too. I'm so tickled!

I'm going to make a batch of simple little lovies, no clothing, hair or face, just a little body that can be sewn and stuffed in two steps, to donate to his practice for sending me business. I'm going to make him several different races for his kids. Thank you, Mommy that gave me the idea! And I'm also giving him a lifetime worth of free fix-it-stitching, should something become torn or whatnot.

And to top my weekend off I crocheted a little wool soaker for my sweet baby boy. I single stitched the crotch and enforced the legholes with elastic thread. Hope it works! I made it up as I stitched! I'll have to put up a pick of him in it!

Great idea! I would love to have some if I were a family counselor! They're super cute, I can't imagine how much time they must have taken to make!

About 15 hours! Yep. Every spare second that I had all week. Though it's extra $$$ and I get to stay home with my son so the time is worth it!

Thanks for all the compliments mamas! I LOVE it!!!! There should be a smiley face with an inflating ego. Just kidding! I'll settle for this one...

I love those dolls, they make me smile! The girl is great (beautiful hair), and I love the hair on the Grandpa, too. Great clothes, and I love the crocheted touches as well. Fabulous all around job! Can't wait to see a picture of the soaker you crocheted in use.
