Thanks to the mamas that sent me Niri romper pattern & Jayme dress pattern

They came in the mail today. Yipee!

Questions:

1. Do I just take a width of fabric, gather it, and attach it to make a skirt on the Jayme dress?

2. Can I do wovens on the Niri romper?

I love this board so much! Thanks everyone.

Don't know about the niri romper.. but for the Jayme dress I have done it a couple of different ways.. I have made a circle dress and attached it to the bodice, I have just cut out two large rectangles and gathered it, and I have cut out two large rectangles and pleated it. All three turned out very nice. I think my favorite was the circle skirt. Hth!

For the romper, yes, wovens work. And actually I think you said it probably wouldn't fit your dd until next summer but go ahead and make her one with a woven, I bet you'll be surprised and it'll be ok now. I need to make some w/ elastic in the legs for a bloomer look I made my 3 yo a couple w/ the pattern from wovens and they fit great (she's tiny). I haven't made her any knit ones yet but the baby has some w/ the smaller version.

I'm not sure if I wrote it on there but for the neck 16" of 1/4" elastic works great. Sorry about my oh so glamorous tracing material too...it was handy.
