What would you make out of this fabric?

Ellie found this yesterday and fell in love with it. Its a pique. Its very pretty and she wants a dress, but I can't decide what style. I thought it would look lovely as a fuller skirt with ribbon by the hem, but I'm still unsure. She is home sick today so I was going to try and get something started with it, but I'm at a loss.

My first thought: halter top dress similar to the ones that Jenn/Bonadea has been making

Maybe the peasant style dress in the latest Ottobre?

Frankly, if I had it, I'd make *myself* a skirt , but for your dd, I think something like this would be adorable (simplicity 6479...but it looks like it would be easy to do w/o the exact pattern):

That is a cute pattern! And well....I bought the whole bolt, so we have several options. I was considering a skirt for me too. LOL! I think I could do that pattern without the actual pattern too. It looks very similar to the Jayme dress pattern.

I like this one:

The view w/ the little blonde girl in pig tails.
I'd get either a bright orange or pink trim/binding to match.
I would also alter it to be a gathered skirt that overlaps in the front where the little bow is and I would continue the ribbon/binding/what not down the front wrap of the skirt.

Ok, I admit it. This dress has been in my head for a few weeks now and I really want to sew it out but I have to finish this coat first. ugh. So if you make it I can live vicariously through you.

I love the second dress on that new look pattern and it's exactly what I was thinking. Solid white bodice, beautiful fabric full skirt and a fuschia/pink wide sash made of ribbon to match the flowers in the fabric.

either a Jayme dress or a Jules DreamDress.
I'd do a very full gored skirt for myself and a matching hand bag

I say go with a simple wrap dress. I'm loving them in this great weather lately.

Well goodness, a whole bolt, huh? I'd personally make some shorts (a couple styles), skorts and skirts and then make a bunch of matching t's and tanks in solids. You've got lots of color there, lime, pink, purple, aqua, orange. Gosh, you could do a whole summer wardrobe of matchy matchy from that

Cute dresses in the suggestions too!

My DD saw it and said "ooooh pretty, its got my favorite color dark pink". She's obsessed with fuschia.

I agree lots of fun matchy matchy stuff. AND of course a gored skirt or a pair of capris for you.

ETA: and WHERE did you find this gorgous bolt of fabric?
