Sewing mamas!Calling all AmityMama's who like to sew! Do you make quilts, clothes, diapers, bags? Do you love to run your fingers through fiber? Can't get enough just sewing, but want to talk about it too? Come on in!
Only 25 sewing days left (give or take).............!!!!!
I feel like the count down before Christmas when you are sewing, baking and cleaning like a wild woman and wishing the whole time you would have started your sewing last January like you had planned in your New Year's Resolutions!
So mamas, I have 25days left to finish my sewing for baby. Because of my summer plans I want to make everything from NB to size Medium from clothing to diaper stash including my nursing wardrobe, the kids summer wardrobe and I even made lists of all birthdays/weddings and such (ds turns 5yrs old 2wks after due date and we are having jungle party).
Not really asking any questions just announcing to myself that time is flying right now! So far I've done really good at keeping peaceful, spending quiet time to journal/stretch/drink tea/ mentally prepare for baby......but I can feel things gearing up. I think I'm headed into full blown nesting, aka running around like a chicken with my head cut off!
Thanks for listening to my ramble
Sarah

Hmmm Sarah, after reading that post, I think it will be sooner than 25days. You are steaming cleaning your carpet and washing your windows today??? When are you flying?? Is it this weekend??? You might just have that babe in your arms for your tea by the 30th. :hugs:
Now now you two- you're not supposed to induce panic in a crazy pregnant woman
Yes we fly to Cali this coming weekend. I plan to steam clean gently I must admit I'm pretty excited to try all these new clothes on baby and the cute diapers from Dehart and use the awesome diaper bag from Tara and snuggle baby up in the lovely quilt from Heather (I have the BEST friends) but after the trip is for sure prefered
I see the midwives on Thursday (we fly out Friday night).

I seriously think that nesting is setting in. But that could also mean you have a couple weeks. I go through crazy cleaning days like that NOW and I am not pregnant... so no worries there.
Good luck... and if you need help I am just a half hour away. I would love to hang with your kiddos for the afternoon so you could sew. And I am not nearly as nuts as the last time you saw me either. lol...
Speaking of which, I have to drive to Sumner later next week to pick up some things for the sewing machine. I am pm'ing you...
Love Val

Any day works for me- my big brother was born on a Friday the 13th and isn't scarred I actually hadn't noticed it was a Friday until you mentioned it. For whatever reason dh and I are both feeling a week early is the possibility so maybe the 5th- though I'd like it if baby waited until MIL gets here on the 11th.

My anniversery is Friday May 13th. We are doing fine 5 years later. And my dd was born on Friday July 13th 2001... she is the luckiest kid in the world... the most stubborn too. The 13th is a good day for me.

I just wanted to add a little something:
Im not sure where in Cali youre gonna be, but if its SoCal and you need ANYTHING while youre in town (aka the situation that you dont want to happen, happens - lol), just let me know. I can PM my numbers if you think you might need them

My Amelia was 2 weeks early and I was in such a panic when I started early labor. I wasn't ready! I had wanted to finish this quilt for my niece before the baby came. So there I was, at 3 am, quilting in my basement sewing room. I couldn't sleep with those annoying contractions every 8 minutes, so why not finish up that quilt?

*as a side note I think I techniqually have everything critical ready for the baby to arrive- just don't have all I would like to have done to get us through the summer and such*
