Grrrrrr Ottobre, never again/at least the skort came out good SNS
This is from the new Ottobre, view 11 size 92 What a pita, it doesn't fit right and after taking the pics I altered it a bit more and now it probably won't fit her at all.
Skort from a big 3 pattern, this one is cute, full skirt over a pair of shorts. Took all of 10 minutes to cut and sew. At least it fits.

oh I think it's cute! It looks like it might be a little gappy around the underarms but the neck looks fine. I like the fabric. I wouldn't have been brave enough to pair two prints like that but thier cute
My first mama shirt wiht that pattern was a bit loose with their elastic measurements. Also, for peasant shirts, I like pulling the elastic through the hem better than sew on elastic, then sew the hem, it is never tight enough for me.

Well, I tried it on her after modifying it a bit and it doesn't fit her...well it does, but getting it on and off is too hard. And I don't have anymore of that fabric in yellow to do a different peasant top. I got it from Shecki in a trade and the yellow was my favorite.
I don't have any more, but I'll check for some next time I go to the Vietnamese fabric store.
Brianna has a twirly dress with the blue print as the skirt, and another one with alternating panels of the pink and lavender. I used the yellow and green ones for a twirly dress for my baby sister (She's 6).

Ack! I was planning to make this shirt for all three of my older girls. In fact, I had my 6 yo in my sewing room earlier today picking out which fabric she wanted me to use.
When you say it doesn't fit right, is that only because of the elastic, or is it the bodice too? It certainly looks good in the picture.
Man, I wish I hadn't already told my girls I would make this for them. I wonder if it would fit them better since they are older and bigger (no longer have that toddler shape to them). I think I'm going to have to make at least one to try it out (unfortunately they will probably EACH want at least one).
Do you have any advice for me? It sounds like I shouldn't go by their elastic measurements.
Your dd is super cute, btw!

Awww, I love it and it looks so cute in the pics. I'm sorry it doesn't fit now! Fun style, I'll have to try modifying a peasant top to see if I can make one similar.
I think it is very cute! I guess my sewing skills are still whack cause I don't see where it is gapping. But either way - It looks really cute all together.
