Revealing sort of Dress S&S

I like this dress except... The keyhole seems kinda low cut or revealing some how. just doesn't match the little girl idea for me.. I know she's 2 but...I think I will have her wear a t-shirt underneath

This is the night we went over to Kori's to sew.
She is playing dress up w/ Nathan

Pattern Butterick 4334 Sz 3..Fits her really well, except for the low cut part y/k. I'm always pleasantly surprised when a BIG 3 fits well.

Sorry I haven't been around much.. I was taking a little breather and then yesterday was my Anniversary

Very cute dress and an even cuter Viking.

But, you're right, the key hole is a bit low. It's a cleavage peeker for a 2 year old.

Can you put some fabric behind it? How about a piece of opaque lace? Something? It's too cute of a dress to ditch for a funky key hole.

thanks:0

Totally a cleavage peeker :sigh:
I can't attach fabric to the back, because it needs to open up to fit over her head. That's why I was thinking a blck tank-top or something..

Well as usual your model is soooo cute. I agree that the keyhole is a bit revealing, even on a 2yo. Love the hat!!

(thanks for helping me out with my request, I tried to email my thanks, but my email was all freaked out)

Cute little dress. I think a nice little tank under it would be perfect. Happy Anniversary too.

cute dress, but IKWYM about the keyhole. I would just put a t-shirt under it!

Oh that is cute! I have that pattern to make Anja a dress too. I wonder if I can alter it to make the hole not so low. What do you think? I havn't taken the pattern out of the package yet so I have no clue how it is laid out.

That is very cool Suz! But I agree with the keyhole being too low. A tank sounds like the best option.

That's a lovely dress, but agree about the keyhole. I would just put a vest on her (erm, is that what a tank is? In the UK a vest is a sleeveless cotton top you wear under your clothes to keep your chest warm LOL, not what you guys call a vest, which is what we call a waistcoat!)

What about adding another frog closure in the middle. Love her viking hat!

It is called a tank top. Or an undershirt, but that has sleeves. Or a wife beater (that is slang for those ribbed white tank tops that men wear).

Anyway, it is cute. I like the print a lot.
