My first skort and another Ott raglan

I've had cotton thread in the machines all week, trying to build up a stash for dyeing.

I made this skort from McCall's 3677, figuring sizing would be a little big. Since C is between a 10 & 12 I made the 10 and it fits great! Directions were amazingly straightforward. The only change I will make next time is to make the back elastic a little shorter. Any suggestions on what color to dye it?

Then I made another one of the 2/05 raglan tees, this time size 140 for my 8 yr old. This pattern does *not* fit portly dudes at all It's way too snug for him. I see they have husky pants in this issue, so I'm going to try a version of those for him I think.

Love those! I really like that LWI dying of the mermaids someone psoted. It looked like the ocean and the mermaids were in it. Too cool! I'm really not a fan of LWI, but I thought that was cool.

I love that new ottobre raglan, I can't wait to try it. And I adore the cowboy print. Good job mama. I saw a pic on here where someone dyed the mermaids a mottled blue and green. It was my favorite mermaid dye job yet.

Those looks so nice and summery, I can't wait to see them dyed! I love the way clothes take on a whole new life once they're dyed. I especially like that raglan pattern!

Cute, cute stuff! Sorry the shirt doesn't fit. I love cowboy stuff, so the shirt is my fave I agree, I think the mermaids look really neat in blue. Will you show pics again when you dye them? I love seeing PRR dyed.

Cute!! I love that skort... I'll have to buy that pattern on the next sale if they have it in the smaller sizes. I like the look of that raglan too... the neckline looks perfectly proportionate! LOL (not my experience with 2 raglan shirt patterns I've tried. lol)

Blue... a teal/turquoise blue would look awesome with those mermaids.

Those look fabulous! I like the water LWI idea for the mermaids -- no clue for cowboys
