Anyone Else make this big of a mess when sewing? sewing room pix

Heres what my sewing area looks like when I clean it up, this pic was taken a couple months ago, but I clean it up and it looks like this. Except I got another serger to replace my other one, that I sold..thats now on the table too.

I make a couple things for the kids....and it looks like this afterward!! what a mess!!! I can't find anything...pattern pieces everywhere, scraps..and I dread sorting it all out and cleaning it up everytime

Yup!!! I am a REALLY messy sewer! I get in a groove, and don't want to stop to clean it all up!

If I'm good, I'll keep the pattern envelope (or baggie if it's a tracing) right next to me so I can put the pieces back in ASAP. But I also have a box of patterns/pieces that everything tends to get thrown into if it doesn't get put away right away, and I sort through that 1x a month or so.

But yeah - I can totally relate!

OMG, I was TOTALLY going to post this same thing the other day! LOL I swear I can get my house totally clean, and then after completing something so simple as a skirt or whatever... my dining room looks like crap. Could be the fact that mommy puts on her blinders while the kids tear up the place, just so I can get a few moments of sewing in. But I also have all my sewing stuff all over the place. Fabric scraps and threads on the floor make it look even worse.

yep, that looks like my sewing room! Only I have stuff all over the floor too, and pattern pieces draped over everything I am the same way when I cook.

That loooks way neater than my sewing space I have a sewing cabinet in the corner of the dining room. We live in a smart apartment so I'm crammed in a corner. The dining table is right behind me. So my stuff is all over the sewing table, all over the floor, all over the dining table. Threads following me wherever I go.

Your sewing mess looks familiar!!! I make a HUGE mess when sewing. Unfortunately, my sewing area is my dining room so it's open and visible to all and a real pain to get set up and put away (fabric is stored in crummy basement, notions in a cabinet in dining room, machines on floor within reach of curious toddler fingers.....aaarrrgggh!). I long for a sewing area of my own with my machines always ready for use and fabric & iron within easy reach.....sigh.....
