eye ball Total mental block!

I'm making a lined bodice with a back zipper....I was going to do an invisible zipper, but for some reason, I can't picture how to do this with the lining
Maybe it can't be done? Maybe I should just do a regular zipper...although I can't picture that either..........................
Maybe I should start a UFO pile

BTW Scarlet...that is a wonderful site you posted a few days ago!

I did an invisible zipper in a bodice with lining a few weeks ago. I treated the bodice and the lining as one piece when I was putting in the zipper. Does that help at all? Just say no to UFOs!

Sew the lining on the top, like the top edge, install the zipper, and then bring the lining over, and close it.

Huh, now I have a mental block, and can't remember exactly how to close it....anyone???

Thank you

Murali...are you thinking of sandwiching in between the lining and the bodice? I guess I'm not picturing how you have it pictured

Faith...your way sounds good.

Yeah, it ends up sandwiched...I am just completely blocking whatever the heck I do to finish off the ends next to the zipper....I can't remember! LOL

I don't understand....??

Can't you just do a sandwich, outer fabric right side up, zipper right side down, lining right side down and then sew it in place. Next, take a regular zipper foot, starting at the bottom hem sew the two layers together all the way up to the bottom of the zip, then starting at at the bottom again sew the two layers of lining together. Sew other side seam. Put in waistband and then hem?
