Red face Wrap pants ~ OOPS! ~ sns

Oh man!!!! I'm sooo bummed. I was making these for me, having a conversation while I serged up the side of one of the legs, and wasn't watching what I was doing. When I looked down, I'd serged in about 1.5" past the edge of the leg. *insert narsty word here* I just sat there, staring at it for the longest time ... thinking about trashing them & rolling around on my sewing room floor crying my eyes out. LOL! I decided to go ahead and finish them anyway, but I had to take off about the same amount on all 4 edges to make them even ... so they're smaller than I wanted them for me. WAH!!!

Ah well, they're for trade if anyone wants 'em ... they'd fit a small woman (2/4) or large child (12/14) I'd say. I'm 5'4" (when I stretch ), so you can see how long they are. I'm iso anti-pill fleece in royal blue & red, Munki, Lulu, Butler ... or just try me.

Embroidered denim, topstitched w/ jean thread. For once, I'm not monkeying around in the pics ... I was just tooo bummed at myself.

If it doesn't work out with Cortney can I be next in line? Or where can I find a pattern? Those are great!

Well if you had accidentaly serged ON an extra 1.5" x 4 I would have taken them. They are awesome pants! Did you take pics while you made them? Are you going to do a sew along?

eta: I found the sew along you did last year. Thanks and I NEED to try these. Now to see if I have any appropriate fabric...

Thanks mamas!
Danaia--you had better not be snorting at me over there behind your computer screen! I'm feeling like a short, fat gnome (sans beard) today ... and after I saw how fat my arms are in the pics, I'm swearing off food for a month. Well, maybe not. LOL
Heather--if Cortney doesn't take 'em, they're yours. I love these so much, but due to my abovementioned gnome-yness, they're too small for me.

Could someone check the sew-alongs & see if the pictures from the old one come up for you? They work for me, but I think that might be because they were already saved on my computer or something technical like that? If they don't come up, I'll try putting new pics in. And if that doesn't work, I'll just do another sew along ... this time, I'll pay attention & make pants that actually fit me.

I just hate that you had to roll around on your sewing room floor. You would have been looking like a pin cushion if you had done that on mine.

Those look so cute on you, and I'm NOT seeing:

1. what part doesn't fit

2. the fat arms you speak of.....huh???? (but I do understand having a homely feeling day) Sometimes I'll have a month of Sundays of homely feeling days.

3. the gnome-ishness

Those are VERY cute, so out of the ordinary, but very classy too.

Oh geez, sister dear. Ya ain't fat. I understand feeling fat, but good lord, darlin', you look like a good stiff TX Panhandle wind would blow you away. I know you're awful at taking compliments, but would you *please* read the replies? *everybody* thinks you're cute as a bugs ear. What was it you told somebody earlier about not kicking the shingles off their own roof? Well, honey, you don't need a leaky roof either.

Okay, sister lecture done. Those pants are *adorable* and it sucks that you over serged them. That denim is just cooler than heck. I did that to one of the collars I was working on the other day & had to throw it away. Thank god I had some extra fabric, cuz I don't think a Mandarin collar works on a camp-style shirt! LOL

You're beautiful & talented. I hope someday you learn to believe that. (Didn't I say sister lecture was over?!?)

Well, you're the cutest gnome I've ever seen! And the pants look great! I'm not sure why you say they don't fit! Anyhow, you look fabulous and the pants are great!
