2 knit and sew and shows..

I don't know why I decided to knit instead of crochet.. it takes me ten times as long.. but i jut love the different fabric it creates.. stretchy and thinner..

and.. this is just a top because I couldn't find a fabric I loved with it.. it looks too good with just some denim shorts/skirt/pants that there's no need to make anythign to go with it.

thanks for looking!

ooooooooooooooooh
I love those tops!! You did a beautiful job~ I prefer knitting to crochet Would you mind telling me where you found your halter/tank pattern? I've been searching online and could never find one to knit.

Thanks so much!

those tops are gorgeous!! I really like the blue hydrangia set. I love hydrangias.

the peach top is so pretty even if you don't find a fabric to go with it it will look darling with jeans.

I wish I could find a crochet patter for tops like that. I never could get knitting. I do crochet but my step mom is way faster thatn me.

Thanks!

I don't have a pattern for either top. I sort of just made them up.
But I totally recommend the littleturtleknits.com apron top pattern. I don't use it anymore after the first couple I made. But it helped me to understand the basic concept of how to create the shape, I learned a nice decrease and because it was back and forth instead of round, I got really good at purl stitch which I hated before . I think it runs a lot wider at the bottom (it's more like a swing top that ties in the back) than I like.. it was a great learning pattern. I TOTALLY recommend it. Afer the first couple, I was able to venture off and make a top that isn't "halter" style but with a front and back, get rid of decrease in the body, etc etc. I don't think I've made two tops alike because I always just grab yarn and go.. and make decisions along they way. Run out and get that pattern and it'll open up an entirely new world for you! I bought like 4 knitting books that I didn't learn as much from as I did from this one pattern. Oh.. and if you just want a tank pattern, she has one of those too. I don't have that one but it looks really cool with garter stitch along all sides so nothing curls up and you don't have to crochet. I LOVE to finish some knitting and actually be DONE when I'm done and not have a ton of finishing work.

Okay.. enough gushing .

the pink one? do you mean the dress with an apron? that one was some yarn called "sugar and cream"

and the purple and blue yarn as well as the peach/cream yarn were both "peaches and cream" yarn.

I actually prefer the sugar and cream yarn for some things because it's loftier and thicker and the colors were solid.. but I can't find it anywhere locally. I wonder if they stopped making it. I haven't looked online yet.

Both of those tops are just beautiful! I need to sit down and read my "Knitting for Dummies" and figure out how to do that stuff! It's been really calling to me lately, lol!
