a 99 cent Sew and Show!

This is an outfit I bought at the Goodwill 99 cent sale. It was a good Dillard's brand, and I loved the fabric (there was SO much of it). The vest was patchy and had great details. I'll post what I did with it in the reply. Nothing fabulous, but Daisy liked the twirl factor! The finished product goes on auction tonight for the Bohemian SOAA theme.

Two pictures below:

I made a dress with the skirt. Added straps and eyelet lace at bottom. I sewed up the vest and made a purse. The shoulder parts of the vest are the straps.

I used some of the extra fabric to make a "Rhoda" type head-scarf. Y'all may not even remember that spin-off of Mary Tyler Moore. Her best friend Rhoda nearly always had some funky 70's scarf on her head! I hope this looks Bohemian-hippie-ish????

I have wondered this also.

and I also think the outfit is fantastic!

(edited to try to fix the quote because I messed up and then my reply made no sense - hope it worked this time)
